Join Our Exciting Nature Camps for Kids Aged 5–12

Trade screens for streams, walls for woodlands, and ordinary days for unforgettable outdoor adventures!

Our nature camps invite children ages 5–12 to spend the entire day outdoors—hiking winding trails, following animal tracks, building woodland shelters, creating with natural treasures, and letting their imaginations roam.

Rainy skies are part of the adventure! Children should arrive dressed for the weather, but a comfortable indoor space is available during inclement or extreme conditions.

March Break and Summer Camps:

$350 per week when registered by October 31, 2026
$375 per week when registered after October 31, 2026

Extended Care:

Morning care: 8:00–9:00 a.m. — $8 per day
After care: 4:00–5:00 p.m. — $8 per day
Morning and after care: $15 per day

Regular camp hours are 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

Our fully insured camps are led by trained educators with experience in nature-based learning. Each day is thoughtfully planned to balance adventure, creativity, friendship, and the freedom to explore.

What are the camp hours?

Camp runs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Extended care is available:

Morning care: 8:00–9:00 a.m. — $8/day
After care: 4:00–5:00 p.m. — $8/day
Both morning and after care: $15/day

What ages are your camps designed for?

Our PD Day, March Break, and summer camps welcome children ages 5–12. Activities are adapted to suit different ages, interests, and comfort levels.

Do children really spend the whole day outdoors?

Yes! Our campers spend their days exploring, playing, creating, and learning outdoors. From winding forest trails to muddy discoveries, nature is our primary camp space.

What happens during inclement weather?

We believe there is plenty to discover in every kind of weather! Campers should arrive dressed for the day’s conditions. A comfortable indoor space is available during thunderstorms, high winds, extreme temperatures, or other unsafe weather.

What activities will my child experience?

Every camp day is a little different. Activities may include forest hikes, shelter building, introductory bushcraft, animal tracking, wildlife observation, creek exploration, nature art, gardening, outdoor games, team challenges, and child-led imaginative play

Does my child need previous outdoor experience?

Not at all! Whether your child is an experienced trail explorer or just beginning to discover the joy of muddy boots, our educators will support them at their own comfort level.

Is the camp insured?

Yes. Ancaster Forest & Nature School is fully insured.

Will my child be outside if it rains?

Absolutely! Light rain creates wonderful opportunities for puddle jumping, creek exploration, and discovering how the forest changes. We move indoors when weather conditions become unsafe.
